Solar Ireland 2023

"Solar delivering for Ireland"

Welcome

Dear Colleagues / Friends

CÉAD MÍLE FÁILTE

It is my pleasure to extend an invitation for you to join our enthusiastic international community in Cork on 22nd November 2023. Our formal meeting will be held in the Clayton Hotel, Silver springs, Cork (Clayton Hotel Silver Springs).

Following a year in which the first utility scale solar farm connected to the Irish electricity system and many of the restrictions on residential rooftop solar were removed, the Irish Solar Energy Association is delighted to celebrate its tenth anniversary at a time when the solar industry is scaling up substantially.

With Ireland’s 2030 solar target more than tripling to 8GW, as a result of the Climate Action Plan 2023, the solar industry has to deliver at a rate unparalleled in the history of the Irish renewables sector. As the industry seeks to deploy a capital investment of €5bn-€6.4bn by 2030, there will be much opportunity across the solar value chain.

Solar Ireland 2023 will focus on how we can grasp that opportunity, collaborate for success and move past barriers and inertia.
